About Costa Del Sol

Costa Del Sol is one of the more affordable communities in San Diego, California. Residents enjoy many amenities including a close proximity to stores, restaurants, and services.

The Costa Del Sol subdivision was built in 2002 by Barratt American. There are 162 homes with three to four bedrooms and living space that ranges from 1,615 to 2,191 square feet. These homes were designed by Bassenian Lagoni Architects who used the architectural designs of Old Monterey, Tuscan, and Spanish Eclectic.

Several school districts serve this neighborhood with highly ranked facilities like Sycamore Ridge Elementary School, Carmel Valley Middle School, and Torrey Pines High School. There are hundreds of private institutions like the Calvary Christian Academy, Escondido Adventists Academy, the Montessori American School, and Halstrom Academy. Public universities include the University of California (UCSD) and San Diego State University (SDSU) as well as the San Diego Community College District.

This community is right next to the 56 Freeway and just a few miles from the beaches of Torrey Pines. It’s a short drive to the beaches as well as Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve which covers 2,000 acres of wilderness and protected land. There are several golf venues in this region including the Del Mar Country Club, the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, the Palacio del Mar Golf Course, and the Grand Golf Club.

Along the 56 Freeway you will find many places to shop including the Piazza Carmel Shopping Center.
